New adults-only cruise vessel from Blue Lagoon Cruises offers new honeymoon options in Fiji

Category: News Stories

Fiji’s idyllic island setting, pristine beaches, thriving ocean habitats, lush rainforest, traditional community life and warm Bula welcome has long-established it as the perfect destination for UK honeymooners seeking crystal clear waters and peaceful relaxation alongside activities and soft adventure.

In addition to a stay in one of Fiji’s elegant resorts, options for a multi-stay honeymoon will increase this April with the launch of a new small ship vessel from Blue Lagoon Cruises, the MV. Yasawa Princess II, operating a 4-night adults-only in Fiji’s stunning Yasawa Islands. In recent years, demand for Blue Lagoon’s cruises has often exceeded availability so, in good news for honeymooners, the new 44 person capacity ship will launch this spring and operate alongside the MV. Fiji Princess, enabling more guests to enjoy these intimate cruises.

Like its sister ship, the MV Yasawa Princess II is a catamaran with a shallow draft, allowing guests to access areas within the islands not possible on larger ships, including the famed experience of tying up to a coconut tree on Blue Lagoon Cruises’ private beach, and swimming directly to shore.

Blending modern innovation with nods to the brand’s 75-year heritage, and with an all-Fijian crew, the ship will offer an upper deck dedicated to dining, lounge seating and a fully serviced bar. The sun deck is perfect for enjoying sunsets over happy hour and hydraulic platform provides effortless access to the water for swimming, water sports and boarding tenders. The 22 light and airy cabins on the middle and lower decks all offer expansive views.

Accommodation is on a full board basis (drinks extra, except for speciality events such as the Captain’s dinner where sparkling wine and canapés precede an a la carte meal) and evening meals include the Captain's Dinner, onboard themed buffets, and a Traditional Fijian Lovo, which is set on the beach at Nanuya Lailai.

There are included activities such as snorkelling, a visit to one of the villages in the Yasawa Islands, a visit to the Sawa-I-Lau caves, a day at the Malamala Beach Club and hearing about marine life from a local marine biologist. Optional add-on activities available include diving and treatments at the onboard Spa.
