Most Awesome Fiji Resorts Welcoming Guests

Most of the resorts that Awesome Adventures Fiji packages in Fiji’s Yasawa and Mamanuca islands are welcoming visitors again following Cyclone Winston in February, backpackers helped with the clean up and Blue Lagoon Cruises continues to distribute much needed supplies.

“The massive team effort of everyone lending a hand means that the majority of resorts we package are welcoming visitors again.  In fact several scarcely missed a beat,” says Ellen Bousfield, Sales Executive UK and Europe for Awesome Adventures Fiji, South Seas Cruises and Blue Lagoon Cruises.

“Everyone who sells our Yasawa and Mamanuca packages can be confident that their clients will be accommodated and go home having had an awe-inspiring time – an experience they will be talking about for years to come.

”The same goes for our Blue Lagoon Cruises passengers and the people on our Vinaka Fiji volunteering programmes.”

Ms Bousfield said the Blue Lagoon Cruises’ ship Fiji Princess headed north just days after the cyclone with basic supplies for villages and continues to ferry much needed items as part of the current cruise schedules, as does Awesome Adventures Fiji’s Yasawa Flyer resort connection vessel.

“Our passengers are saying they are pleased to be a part of what is happening and that they are humbled to see how the relief – basic stuff like rice, flour, tinned fish and tarpaulins – is so appreciated by these villagers that have lost just about everything, and didn’t have that much to begin with.  Building materials and tools are also part of the manifest.”

Ms Bousfield added that the charitable trust arm of the Vinaka Fiji organisation had set up a dedicated cyclone relief fund where donations could be made via the website

“People making donations can be confident 100% of their contribution will be put to work because Vinaka Fiji administration and staff costs are taken care of by our South Seas Cruises company in Fiji.”

The Awesome Adventures Fiji, South Seas Cruises and Blue Lagoon Cruises websites continue to be the best source of operational information for wholesalers, agents and travellers with regularly scheduled updates.
