Eastern & Oriental Express – Seasons Updates
Guests onboard Belmond’s luxury sleeper train the Eastern & Oriental Express can now choose from an exciting new range of inclusive experiences during their journey, depending on their own preferences. At the River Kwai they can take a raft along the river and visit the Thai-Burma Railway Museum, or enjoy a bicycle tour through rice paddies stopping off at a local farm, or hone their culinary skills with a visit to a local market and a traditional rice noodle house with a cookery class.
In Kuala Kangsar guests will travel to a local village and immerse themselves in rural Malaysian life with a warm welcome ceremony from the villagers, followed by a guided tour of the rice paddies. Or alternatively they may visit a local plantation and sample the produce before embarking on a hill trek with panoramic views.
Furthermore Belmond has two new gastronomic journeys with highly acclaimed international chefs Ian Kittichai and Luke Mangan on 22 – 25 November 2017 and 18 – 20 November 2018 respectively.
New for 2018 – house wine, house spirits and local beer will be included throughout all journeys. For further information please visit www.belmond.com/trains/asia/eastern-and-oriental-express
