Papua New Guinea’s tourism arrival figures from the U.K. have more now than trebled since 2012. To ensure a ‘seamless’ experience, for travellers arriving or departing the country the government has worked vigorously with Air Niugini, the national carrier, at the main hubs.
Port Moresby Airport has undergone considerable refurbishment, whilst both Mount Hagen and Hoskins Airports have been totally rebuilt. Mount Hagen Airport will start welcoming international flights during 2016, continuing Air Niugini’s policy of expansion in the pacific region.
Air Niugini already operates regular scheduled flights from Hong Kong, Singapore, Manila, Tokyo, Denpasar, Honiara, Port Vila, Nadi, Cairns, Brisbane and Sydney offering a variety of convenient connections from the United Kingdom in addition to the possibility of a multi-centre itinerary.
Air Niugini is represented in the U.K. by Flight Directors.
