Preparations are underway for the 2016 Cathay Pacific International Chinese New Year Night Parade, where Hong Kong will welcome in the Year of the Monkey by staging what Forbes magazine described as one of the “10 Best Events of the Year”.
To kick start Chinese New Year, themed floats and a variety of international and local performing groups, including dance troupes, cheerleaders and marching bands, will parade through the streets of Tsim Sha Tsui!
The parade will take place on Monday 8th February 2016 from 8pm – 9.45pm with the opening ceremony taking place at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui and local street performances providing interactive entertainment from 6.30pm.
Spectators can view the parade free of charge along the parade route, or alternatively, tickets for seats at the parade will be available at the Hong Kong Tourism Board Kowloon Visitor Centre on Saturday 30th January 2016 and will be on a first-come-first-serve basis.
